Kevin Hart has issued another apology to the LGBTQ community for his past offensive and homophobic tweets that caused him to step down as host of the Oscars.

Speaking in the third person on his XM radio show, the comedian and actor said:

Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community. I apologize.

He went on to add:

We thought it was okay to talk like that, because that’s how we talked to one another … This is wrong now.

Because now we’re in a space where I’m around people of the LGBTQ community, and I’m now aware of how these words make them feel, and why they say ‘That sh-t hurt because of what I’ve been through.’

This apology comes after his highly publicized sit down with Ellen.

It’s still unclear whether or not he will host the Oscars, but this third apology feels like groundwork.
