The Kenosha police officer who shot Jacob Blake in the back seven times, said he thought Blake was trying to kidnap a child.

Police Officer Rusten Sheskey told investigators he used deadly force – not because he feared for his own life, but because he was attempting to stop Jacob from fleeing the chaotic scene with the child in the backseat.

In an exclusive interview with CNN, Sheskey’s attorney, Brendan Matthews, claimed his client heard a woman say, “He’s got my kid. He’s got my keys.”

He added, if Sheskey would have allowed Jacob Blake to drive away and something happened to the child “the question would have been ‘why didn’t you do something?’”

Initially, the report was Jacob was breaking up a fight between two women on August 23 and as he attempted to get back into his car and leave, Officer Rusten Sheskey shot him in his back seven times at point blank range leaving Jacob paralyzed from the waist down.

Matthews says the Blake family’s assertions that he was unarmed and posed no threat to the officers is “incomplete and inaccurate.”

He stated at the time Sheskey opened fire, Blake had a knife in his hand and twisted his back towards the officer.

The viral video of the incident proves that is a lie.

Authorities have said Blake did have a knife in his possession and the weapon was found on the floorboard of his vehicle.

Well, how is that possible if he “twisted his back towards the officer” away from the inside of the vehicle?!

Don’t worry…I’ll wait.

Police Officer Rusten Sheskey is currently on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
