Keanu Reeves Talks Returning To ‘The Matrix’ After 20 Years (Video)

Keanu Reeves recently chopped it up with GMA’s Michael Strahan about returning to The Matrix after 20 years.

Keanu said The Matrix changed his life, but surprisingly people recognize him on the streets for his role as Ted Theodore Logan in the movie Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989).

Keanu revealed as a young actor in Hollywood they wanted him to change his name because they felt it was too exotic, but he couldn’t do it.

He said he knew it was the right time to do another Matrix movie when he got the call from the writer and director Lana Wachowski.

Really it came from the writer, director, visionary Lana Wachowski.

You know when she called, and I was like, ‘What’s up?’

And she’s like you know well I’m thinking of doing another Matrix.

And I was like… ‘WHAT!’

Keanu said he had at least 10 weeks of “movie” martial arts training for the new Matrix movie, and he also had to train to jump 44 stories off of a building with his co-star Carrie-Anne Moss.

He began to get choked up when he talked about working with Carrie-Anne Moss again, and he said he saw her strength in the performance she gave at the top of the building.

The performance that she gives at the top of that building, I don’t want to give too much away, but like… I’m going to cry.

But, it was like I got to see that up close, to see her… strength and stuff and it was cool to be there.
