If you watched the 2015 Billboard Music Awards you are fully aware that Kanye West‘s performance to close out the show was a complete disaster.
Billboard censored Yeezy’s performance of “All Day” and “Black Skinhead” so much that literally I double-checked the volume settings on my television to make sure Comcast wasn’t setting me up for failure.
To add insult to injury, Kanye was barely visible and looked like he was buried in a pile of 4th of July sparklers the entire performance.
On Monday, Billboard placed the blame on Kanye West saying the rapper failed to attend his final rehearsal and that they were expecting him to perform the clean version of his songs.
They panicked when they realized that wasn’t the case and went censor crazy.
Turns out, Kanye missed the final rehearsal because he was on vocal rest and he even received a cortisone shot over the weekend.
On Tuesday, Kanye West’s representatives have released a statement in regards to his Billboard performance, where they expressed their disappointment with the “unwarranted censorship.”
