A 7-year-old little girl is “clinging to life” after being shot in the neck while trick-or-treating in Chicago and police have a juvenile suspect in custody.
According to Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, they do have a primary suspect in custody and criminal charges are pending:
Chicago police Supt. Eddie Johnson said they were able to identify the suspect thanks to “very clear and very helpful” video that was obtained during the investigation.
Apparently, three males began chasing a 30-year-old man and one of them pulled out a gun and opened fire.
They struck the man in the hand and the 7-year-old little girl, who was trick-or-treating in the lower neck.
Police believe the shooter was wearing a “Jason” mask from the Friday the 13th films.
The family of the little girl released a statement saying they are “grateful for the outpouring of love and support shown by all of Chicago and the nation.”
This story is developing and I will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
Please continue to send up prayers for the little girl.
