Former ex-West Virginia University running back Justin Crawford was arrested on Saturday and charged with aggravated child molestation after he allegedly had sex with a 12-year-old girl in his home while his wife slept.
Crawford’s wife, Chakeya, told the Ledger-Enquirer that she came downstairs around 5 a.m. and caught her husband standing over the girl in the living room with his genitals exposed.
The 23-year-old immediately ran into the kitchen to cover himself and told his wife she had startled him. But, he denied any wrongdoing and Chakeya says she gave him “the benefit of the doubt.”
She later took the child to her mother who questioned her about the incident. The girl says she was asleep before Justin approached her and they had oral sex and intercourse.
The young girl was taken in for a medical exam and rape kit.
Justin Crawford initially denied any sexual contact with the child, but he eventually came clean and added that it was the child’s idea.
He is being held without bond in the Muscogee County Jail on charges of aggravated child molestation, sodomy and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
He deserves whatever he has coming to him.
