Jussie Smollett (aka “The Gay Tupac“) was arrested early Thursday morning around 5 a.m. and is now in the custody of Chicago police.
On Thursday, the “Empire” star was charged with disorderly conduct for filing a false police report in connection to the alleged staged attack on him last month.

Chief Communications Officer Anthony Guglielmi confirmed the arrest and announced a press conference will be held at 9 a.m.

Jussie is expected to appear in bond court at 1:30 p.m.
