John Singleton’s Family Releases Statement + Celebs Extend Prayers & Support

There has been an outpouring of love and support for John Singleton after the legendary producer and director suffered a “mild” stroke.

John checked himself into Cedars Sinai hospital after he returned from Costa Rica because he was experiencing weakness in his leg.



John is currently in ICU and is receiving great medical care.

His family released the following statement:

On Wednesday, April 17, our beloved son/father, John Singleton, suffered a stroke while at the hospital.

John is currently in the ICU and under great medical care.

We ask that privacy be given to him and our family at this time and we appreciate all of the prayers that have been pouring in from his fans, friends, and colleagues.
