Jerry Springer is headed back to television, but instead of hosting foolishness, he’ll be presiding over court cases.

Springer’s forthcoming syndicated court show, “Judge Jerry,” is set to premiere in the fall of 2019 and will air in 75% of the country.

Tracie Wilson, executive VP creative affairs at NBCUniversal Television Distribution said:

Judge Jerry will merge Jerry’s talent for connecting with people, his incredibly relatable and funny personality and his legal training and governing experience to bring viewers a more entertaining court show.

We are so happy to continue our fantastic partnership with Jerry, who is a proven TV icon with a dedicated and broad fan base.

Jerry Springer, who has a degree in law, feels like his career is now coming full circle.

For the first time in my life, I am going to be called honorable.

My career is coming full circle, and I finally get to put my law degree to use after all these years.

Much like the other court shows, Judge Jerry will preside over small claims in court and render his verdict with a few words of wisdom.
