Jazmine Sullivan took to social media to address those who criticized her over her weight loss.
The singer looks absolutely amazing, but a recent photo she shared from the set of the music video for her new single, “Lost One,” was met with praise and unfortunate and heavy criticism.
Jazmine addressed folks who said she looks “sickly” by sharing how she became a vegan to support her mother who was battling breast cancer.
Last week, some people dragged me saying I looked sickly. I’m honestly a size 12. 180 lbs. There’s nothing skinny abt me but my neck?? I’m 5’8 however, so I sometimes photograph a lil leaner than I am. But, I ain’t skinny and that was never goal. My goal was to support my mother thru her battle w cancer by going vegan with her, and in turn it helped me aswell. And I feel really good. I have a lot of things to work on in my journey and am not nearly the model for health and fitness. But, I’m trying…And I’ll continue to do so w my momma! Bless y’all, love y’all. It’s so unfortunate that Jazmine Sullivan even had to deal with the criticism of others.
Hopefully, going forward she will choose to protect her energy from negative people.
