A Minnesota man has been arrested and is facing three 2nd-degree murder charges after he killed his wife and opened fire on two sisters who lived next door last Sunday (August 30).

Jason Michael Mesich, 48, told police he got into an argument with his wife, Angela Lynn Mesich, in their garage over the couple’s lack of sex.

At some point during the argument, Jason went back into the house to get his gun. When he returned, his wife tried to hit him and he told police he punched her in the collarbone with two fists.

Angela allegedly challenged him to shoot her and that’s exactly what he did. Jason told police he “emptied” the clip to make sure she was dead.

After killing his wife, Jason Michael Mesich opened fire on his Black neighbors, who lived next door while they were in the process of packing a moving truck.

Bullets struck 29-year-old Canisha and her 12-year-old sister, Makalya

Canisha was hit several times in the legs and left hip. She is in serious condition and Makayla was shot in the head. She is heavily sedated in critical condition.

The victims’ aunt told WCCO that Makayla shielded her 1-year-old niece from Mesich.

When police arrived on the scene, they entered the Mesich residence and found Jason in the basement, where he continued firing his gun, screaming, and throwing things.

After firing 40 rounds at police, Mesich surrendered and was taken into custody.

When police asked Jason Mesich about shooting his neighbors he said they were not “good neighbors” and that he “hated all children.”

Jason Michael Mesich is currently in the Hennepin County Jail and faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted.

I wonder if police stopped to get him some Burger King.

A GoFundMe has been set up to assist the family during this trying time.
