Jasmine Eiland, the woman whose sexual assault was captured on Facebook Live, is now suing Opera Nightclub, where the attack took place.
Ms. Eiland, along with her attorney, Chris Stewart, held a press conference on Tuesday to announce they are suing the venue, the managers as well as their security for negligence, failing to provide adequate security and failing to monitor certain areas of the club.
During the press conference, Jasmine addressed the media saying:
I’m going to continue to fight. I am a victim, but I’m a survivor as well.

Clubs make tons of money off the community. They are well aware of what it takes to keep guests safe. You will not cut corners, and risk people’s safety to save money when it’s a hip hop/r&b artist. What #operaatl did was horrific that night and put all concert goers at risk. . #jasmineeiland #protectingthecommunity #stewarttrialattorneys
Dominique Williams, the man accused of assaulting Jasmine, turned himself in to police on January 29.
I will keep you updated on this case.
