Lifetime‘s highly anticipated Janet Jackson documentary premiered on Friday night (January 28) and it was everything that we hoped it would be.

The first two hours took us from the Jackson family’s humble beginnings in Gary, Indiana all the way up to the Rhythm Nation Tour, the highest-grossing debut tour in history.

The documentary was beautifully done and just having this level of transparency and access to Janet felt like a true privilege.
