Jamie Foxx To Host Telethon
Jamie Foxx announced he will host a telethon to raise money victims of Hurricane Harvey.
In a video on his Instagram page, Oscar-winning actor, who has already donated $25,000 to GlobalGiving, said, “Just wanted to let everyone in Texas know, we got you. From a fellow Texan, my heart goes out, my prayers go out.”
He continued, “September 12, we have a telethon that we’re doing. We’ll give you more details, so we can raise as much money as we can for everybody down there.”

Foxx is working with Houston rapper Bun B and music manager Scooter Braun, who produced Ariana Grande’s One Love show in Manchester, according to the Associated Press.
The one-hour show will be hosted simultaneously in Los Angeles, New York and Nashville and will be aired by all major networks, according to TMZ.
Reese Witherspoon and Blake Shelton will reportedly host the telethon in Nashville, while Foxx and Hilary Duff will take over in Los Angeles.
Michael Strahan is reportedly hosting from New York, and organizers are trying to enlist Kelly Rowland and Jim Parsons, who were both born and raised in Houston.
