Welp…Netflix just gave me another reason to keep my subscription alive and well.
Idris Elba is set to produce and star in a new Netflix comedy series titled, “Turn Up Charlie.”
According to Variety the award-winning actor will play the role of Charlie, a struggling DJ and eternal bachelor, who’s given a final chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a manny to his famous best friend’s problem-child daughter.
Netflix has ordered eight episodes of the half-hour series.
Production will begin in the United Kingdom this May.
This should be interesting considering the actor moonlights as a DJ in his spare time.
