Idris Elba Scoop Two SAG Awards And Makes History
It was a big night for Idris Elba at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The 43-year-old actor scooped not one, but TWO SAG Awards! The first award was for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for his role as DCI John Luther in “Luther.”
The second award was for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his slayage of Commandant in the Netflix original movie, Beasts of No Nation.
The icing on the cake is Idris has made history. Not only is he the first actor to win two SAG Awards in one night, but he’s also the first black actor to do so!
