People better put some respect and reverence on Rosa Parks’ name!

Houston City Council member Michael Kubosh is making headlines after he compared blatantly violating Harris County’s dine-in service restrictions to the stand against injustice made by the “first lady of civil rights.”

Matt Brice defiantly opened his Federal American Grill restaurant dining room despite Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s order to keep them closed until the end of April.

Councilman Michael Kubosh showed up for the vittles and in an interview with KPRC 2, he compared the restaurant’s defiance to that of Rosa Parks’ refusal to give up her bus seat to a white passenger.

Kubosh stated, “Sometimes civil disobedience is required to move things forward, and so that’s why we remember Rosa Parks.”

I really can’t make this stuff up.

Matt Brice could potentially face a fine up to $1,000 and up to six months in jail. But, the worse case scenario is Coronavirus sweeping through his restaurant like a Spring breeze.
