Gerod Roth issues an apology for racist Facebook post about Cayden Jenkins.
Gerod Roth is apologetic and unemployed after his racist antics on Facebook resulted in him being terminated from his job.
When Sydney Shelton brought her adorable 3-year-old son, Cayden Jenkins, to work with her, she had no idea her co-worker had snapped a photo of him and posted it on Facebook.
Using the handle “Geris Hilton,” Roth uploaded the photo sparking an onslaught of disgusting and racists comments from his low-life friends about the innocent child.
Sydney was devastated when someone alerted her about the post. “People post things in a jokingly manner and it gets taken a completely different way but I don’t believe any of these people were joking,” Shelton said.
Gerod Roth’s employer, Polaris Marketing Group, terminated him last week and posted this statement regarding the incident on their Facebook page:
We are aware of a screenshot of an allegedly racially-motivated Facebook post involving a former Polaris Marketing Group employee and the child of a current employee.
Polaris Marketing Group and it’s staff in no way condone any form of racism or bigotry and would never conduct business in a racist fashion.
In an interview with FOX 5 Atlanta, Roth had the audacity to say, “I just really feel upset, not only with myself, but also the character that was based off the comments that my friends had made. Cayden has been victimized, but I have been targeted.”
In an attempt to initiate damage control, Gerod Roth issued a written apology to Sydney Shelton and attempted to explain away his despicable actions.
