Grammy Award-Winning Songwriter LaShawn Daniels Passes Away At 41


It’s with a heavy heart that I report LaShawn Daniels passed away suddenly on September 3.

The cause of death has not been revealed, but the loss of such a wonderful man has left many shaken and heartbroken.

If you didn’t know LaShawn was the pen behind Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name,” Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” Michael Jackson’s “You Rock My World,” and the Spice Girls’ “Holler,” you may recall seeing him and his beautiful wife, April Daniels, on “Tamar & Vince.”

Many in the music industry have taken to social media to mourn the tremendous loss. 



I extend my sincerest condolences and prayers to the Daniels family and all who knew and loved LaShawn.
