Gladys Knight’s Chicken & Waffles Fails Health Inspection
You better say your grace while clutching your Midnight Train to Georgia prayer cloth before eating at Gladys Knight’s Chicken & Waffles because the popular restaurant and tourist attraction in Atlanta miserably failed a recent health inspection.
Here’s the scoop via the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
A popular Midtown restaurant—and tourist attraction—that usually has lines of people waiting outside its door, failed a Feb. 18 health inspection.
Gladys Knight’s Signature Chicken & Waffles on Peachtree Street earned a score of 56 after Fulton County inspectors found 15 violations.
Some of the deficiencies discovered during the inspection included a cooler with a missing door, heavy debris on ceilings and vents and violations related to hand-washing, which the health department says is a risk factor for food-borne illness.
I’ll stick with the Waffle House for now.
