Girl Scouts had a rough day in the streets of social media on Wednesday after they tweeted and deleted a post congratulating Amy Coney Barrett on her Supreme Court appointment.

The 108-year-old organization tweeted:

Congratulations to Amy Coney Barrett on becoming the 5th woman appointed to the Supreme Court since its inception in 1789. ?

They even attached a cute little graphic with the photos of the female Supreme Court Justices.

See the tweet below:

The swoop down was swift as people blasted the organization for supporting a woman who does not exemplify what their organization is supposed to be about.

Girl Scouts of the USA later deleted the tweet and began to explain they are a nonpolitical, nonpartisan organization.

Sadly, the explanation didn’t go over well either.
