The teenage girl who plotted to kill black worshippers at a Gainesville, Georgia church pleaded guilty on Thursday and issued an apology.

17-year-old Caitlyn Pye was arrested last November after authorities foiled her plan to stab Black worshippers at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Caitlyn’s classmates informed Gainesville High School administrators she had a notebook containing “detailed plans to commit murder” at the church.

Administrators notified the authorities, who launched an investigation and arrested the teen.

What’s even more alarming is Caitlyn, who is white, collected knives and went to the church twice, but fortunately, no events were being held on those nights.

Pye entered a negotiated plea to one count of attempted murder. She was sentenced to a juvenile justice facility until age 21.

Once released, she will remain on probation for 10 years.

During her sentencing hearing, Caitlyn Pye said:

I am very sorry.

I want to let you know it was a mistake.

What would she have said if the saints were in bible study when she came there to kill them?
