Geoffrey Owens ‘Devastated’ By Job Shaming, Grateful For Outpouring Of Support, Quits Trader Joe’s

Geoffrey Owens has had quite an interesting week after the former “Cosby Show” star was job-shamed for working at Trader Joe’s to make ends meet.

A customer, who was surprised to see him working in the store took a photo of the actor and it went viral with multiple media outlets, including Fox News, making him a headline rather than a hero who is providing for his family.

During an appearance on “Good Morning America,” Geoffrey said he was “devastated” by being shamed for working at Trader Joe’s. But, the hurt didn’t last long once he saw the outpouring of love and support from people around the world.

Geoffrey resigned from Trader Joe’s due to all of the negative and positive attention he’s received.

He did say he’s received a few acting leads, but nothing concrete.

Geoffrey Owens made it very clear that he didn’t want to receive roles just because of this situation, he’d prefer to audition and get the role because he’s the right guy for the job.
