The Game has been ordered to pay $7.13 million to the woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her on the set of his reality dating show, “She Got Game.”
After a nasty battle in court and the court of public opinion, the jury ruled in favor of Priscilla Rainey.
In an exclusive statement to The Jasmine Brand, Priscilla said this case was never about the money.
This case was never about money. This was always about standing up for not only my rights, but also the rights of women who have been similarly victimized. My life has been impacted tremendously by relentless negativity, solely because I chose not to remain silent. I am hopeful that this result can empower other women to also come forward and stand up for themselves.
Many people have a hard time believing Ms. Rainey was assaulted because she remained on the show following the alleged assault and fought tooth and nail for Game’s affection until he eliminated her from the show and sent her home.
