Gabrielle Dennis has been cast to portray Whitney Houston in BET’s two-party miniseries, “The Bobby Brown Story.”

The “Rosewood” actress took to Instagram to share her excitement about the role. She added that she’s praying she does the late icon “justice.”

So excited for this opportunity. Huge thanks to @iamrobireed who saw something in me and put me in the mix for this ICONIC role and thanks to all who had a hand in this decision…praying I do her justice.

Here’s the scoop via Deadline:

“The New Edition Story” broke BET ratings records when it aired in January 2017, and “The Bobby Brown Story” picks up where that pic left off, following Brown’s successful solo run.

Woody McClain is reprising his role as Brown, one of the genre’s original “bad boys” whose life epitomizes the meaning of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. His hits may have kept him at the top of the charts, but his antics kept him on the front page. Production on the mini began this week in Atlanta.

I’m looking forward to this! How about you?
