The popular New York radio jock injected himself into Meek Mill’s shenanigans by siding with the Philly rapper who accused Drake of not writing his own rhymes.
Flex saw the brewing beef as his shining moment to expose Drake as a fraud while bringing attention to himself. After posting the “10 Bands” reference track, he promised to deliver references for “Blessings,” “R.I.C.O.” and “Know Yourself.”
The cherry on top of the ice cream sundae was when Flex said he was going to premiere a brand new Meek Mill diss record in response to Drake’s “Charged Up” on Monday night.
Hip Hop fans tuned in to Hot 97 at 7 p.m. anxiously awaiting Meek’s response. Unfortunately, the big man failed to deliver.
The backlash was swift and relentless in the internet streets with fans going in on Funk Flex with a flurry of tweets and memes.
