Frank Ocean has legally changed his name.
A Los Angeles judge finally granted the “Thinkin Bout You” singer’s petition to ditch his given name of Christopher Edwin Breaux to legally become Frank Ocean.
Frank filed the petition over a year ago and followed the steps of posting his intentions of changing his name in the newspaper once a week for four weeks in a row.
The process is necessary to ensure he isn’t planning to defraud anyone and it gives potential victims the opportunity to come forward and/or object to the name change in court.
Once that was complete, some technicalities with his driver’s license held up the process.
But now, Frank Ocean is good to go!
