Fran Drescher Wants Cardi B To Play Her Daughter In ‘The Nanny’ Reboot
Fran Drescher wants to reboot “The Nanny” and she wants Cardi B to play her daughter on the show. Get the scoop.
Fran Drescher says she wants Cardi B to play her daughter in a reboot of “The Nanny.” Okuuurt!
The 61-year-old actress says she’s ready to reboot her hit 90’s sitcom, but the networks don’t appear to be buying what she’s selling.
I’m totally down with doing it.
I don’t know what is going on with some of these networks out there because they do not seem to be hip to the fact that there’s an obsession amongst millennials for the show and moi!
But, a light bulb went off in Fran’s head when she saw a photo Cardi posted on Instagram of herself drenched in leopard print with the caption, “Fran Drescher in @dolcegabbana.”
I wanna do a sitcom with Cardi B. Wouldn’t she be great as my daughter?
I was so flattered. I just thought she paid homage to me wearing animal print and said ‘Fran Drescher.’
And then I got my juices flowing and thought, ‘Wait a minute, she’s from New York, we both have funny voices, she could be my daughter!’
Fran Drescher went on to add that Cardi’s father on the show would have to be a man of color, not Max Sheffield.
Not from me and Mr. Sheffield, I would have to have a man of color. I’m down with the brothers.
I’m torn on this idea because I think Cardi would be absolutely hilarious in a sitcom, but a part of me feels like Fran is trying to use Kulture’s mama as a selling point to get her show back on TV.
What do you think?
