Jason Van Dyke, the former Chicago cop who took the life of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald, was brutally beaten by inmates four hours after arriving at a new prison.
Van Dyke’s family and his attorney are outraged saying his safety was compromised after he was placed in general population at a federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut.
“He was led like a lamb to slaughter,” said one of his attorneys Tammy Wendt, who said she was notified of the attack by a confidential employee at the facility in Connecticut.
According to the attorney, Jason Van Dyke says he was attacked in his cell.
