A 6-month-old baby boy who was suffering with the flu died in a car accident on his way to the hospital for treatment.

Via NY Post:

Demir Rahming was in his nursery around 2:30 a.m. when his mother, Flavia Earps, checked on him and discovered he was unresponsive and barely breathing, according to Earps and police.

Earps contacted her cousin, who lives near her Mariners Harbor home, and asked for a ride to Richmond University Medical Center.

In their rush, Earps’ cousin blew through a red light at Forest Avenue near Broadway in West Brighton around 2:40 a.m., and was struck by a 2008 Jeep Liberty heading north on Broadway, police said.

EMS rushed the child to Richmond University Medical Center, but it was too late.

I can’t imagine what Demir’s parents are going through.

Please keep them uplifted in prayer during this terribly difficult time.
