Man Says His Low Blood Sugar Led To Highway Shooting
Now, I’ve heard of folks being “hangry” (hungry and angry), but this is a new one for the books.
A Florida man, charged with attempted murder for firing at least a dozen shots at another car on the highway, is blaming his low blood sugar and lack of sleep for the shooting.
Via NY Daily News:
Kwanza Donald, of Orlando, was charged with two counts of attempted murder for the Florida Turnpike shooting that police are investigating as a possible road rage incident, according to WFTV-TV.
Dexter Bernard, 37, and Lashey Bernard, 17, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, WPLG-TV reported.
Donald, 33, claimed he has medical issues, but authorities said he didn’t complain about them before turning himself in.
Authorities managed to connect Donald to the shooting by reviewing surveillance footage, according to WPLG.
Donald said he felt remorse for what happened to the victims.
“I’ll do anything in this world to pay that family back because I really didn’t mean to shoot any bullets at that car when I was getting shot at by other cars,” he told WFTV.
Donald is being held in Lake County jail in lieu of $120,000 bail.
Give Kwanza some juice, cookies and a comfy cell so he can rest up for a few years.
