Flo Rida Awarded $82.6M In Celsius Breach Of Contract Case

Apple Bottom jeans and boots with the fur for everybody! Flo Rida was awarded $82.6 million in his breach of contract lawsuit against the makers of Celsius energy drinks.

On Wednesday (January 18), a South Florida jury found that Celsius Holdings Inc. violated the conditions of an endorsement deal with the 5X Grammy Award-winning rapper.

Flo Rida, whose real name is Tramar Dillard, was a brand ambassador for Celsius from 2014 to 2018 and during that time, he played an instrumental role in elevating the company’s brand development, growth, and expansion, and he introduced Celsius to millions around the world, according to his complaint.

“Basically, I helped birth this company, and all we was looking for was some trustworthy people who acted as if they were family,” Flo told The Associated Press. “And then when it comes down to the success of today, they just forgot about me.”

The rapper never received the 1% ownership he was promised and according to his attorney, John Uustal, Flo Rida is still willing to take the stock option instead of the jury’s monetary award.

“He (Dillard) loved the product, and it’s been a very successful four-year relationship,” Uustal said. “There were some benchmarks. He was supposed to get stock when certain things happened. And there became a dispute about whether those benchmarks had been reached. So that’s what this was about.”

Attorneys for Celsius claim the company saw the most success after their partnership with Flo Rida ended.

I’m pretty sure that is the case after Flo spent four years putting them on the map.

Celsius still has the option to appeal the verdict, but it’s unclear if they plan to do so.

Flo took to social media to share a few receipts after his victory.

Congratulations to Flo Rida.
