Teenage Girl Beaten To Death In Delaware High School Fight
What in the world is going on with our young people?!
A teenage girl was beaten to death inside a high school bathroom in Wilmington, Delaware.
The tragic incident took place at the Howard High School of Technology on Thursday morning.
According to students, the 16-year-old Amy Joyner-Francis and another girl were fighting over a boy when she was jumped.
At some point during the fight, the victim reportedly hit her head on the bathroom sink and fell unconscious.
Medics performed CPR on the victim, who was taken on a stretcher to a waiting state police helicopter.
She was airlifted to A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, where she was pronounced dead.
Mayor Dennis Williams was visibly shaken during a press conference where he stated, “I’m so upset that the young lady lost her life today. Things like this shouldn’t happen. My heart bleeds for the family, the kids that go to this school, administrators, and our city.”
Two girls and several witnesses were taken to the Wilmington Police Department to be interviewed by detectives.
No charges have been filed at this time.
