These ain’t your average frosted flakes…Feds recently seized a shipment of 44 pounds of cocaine-coated corn flakes.

Yes, I said cocaine!

Customs and Border Protection carried out the bust in Cincinnati on February 13 after a Bico, a narcotic-detector dog alerted them.

The drugs were found in a large shipment of cereal boxes, brand name Angel, which had originated from Peru, and were headed to a private residence in Hong Kong.

When agents opened the cereal box “they saw that the cereal contained white powder, and the flakes were coated with a grayish substance,” according to a news release.

After testing the contents, they found both the flakes and the powder contained cocaine.

The shipment of cocaine flakes has a street value of $2.8 million.

Cincinnati Port Director Richard Gillespie said in a statement released Friday:

The men and women at the Port of Cincinnati are committed to stopping the flow of dangerous drugs, and they continue to use their training, intuition, and strategic skills to prevent these kinds of illegitimate shipments from reaching the public.

These “street pharmacists” are getting creative.
