Welp kiddos, the wait for the highly-anticipated Tupac biopic, All Eyez On Me, continues.
On Wednesday, director L.T. Hutton took to social media to off this disappointing update:
Real quick. Public Service Announcement…
There is no November release date. The release date is coming very soon. I’m going to make that announcement. We didn’t push back. We never had a release date. We never set a release date. We’re going to set that very soon. So, let’s be clear.
L.T. also took a moment to get a few things off of his chest:
LET ME JUST SAY THIS !! THERE IS WAY MORE TO PUTTING OUT A FILM THAN JUST SAYING WHAT’S THE RELEASE DATE WHERE IS THE TRAILER!! HOLLYWOOD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO MESS THIS FILM UP! SO THAT MEANS AS LONG AS IT TAKES! THE NEGATIVE BULLSH*T PEOPLE CAN DO ALL THE LAME ASS INTERVIEWS THEY WANT AND CAN’T MESS THIS FILM UP !! THIS 10 YEARS OF BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS WAS THE HARDEST THING I HAVE DONE IN MY LIFE BUT I TOOK ON THE FIGHT AND GOT IT DONE !!!! FOR THE CULTURE!!!!! THE FILM WILL SAY IT ALL !!!! 2PAC WROTE HIS ON STORY AND I MADE THIS FILM IN HIS VOICE !!!! IT’S ABOUT 2PAC NOT ABOUT ME NOT A COMPANY NOT ABOUT A DIRECTOR !!!! TUPAC POINT BLANK !!! A LOT OF PEOPLE WORKED VERY HARD ON MAKING THIS HAPPENED AND STILL WORKING THIS HOLLYWOOD SH*T GONE SOMEBODY WHOLE MOUTHPIECE KNOCKED OFF !!!!!!! THIS IS REAL NOT A GAME!!! SUPPORT OR DON’T THE REAL WILL !!!! #alleyzeonmemovie#2pac #tupac #mo
The “people” doing the negative bs interviews he’s referring to is legendary director John Singleton, who was originally on the project, but quit over creative differences.
During a recent Q&A, John called the film trash and inaccurate (without viewing it).
So, you can understand why L.T. is feeling some type of way.
I guess we’ll just have to keep running the trailer back until the film is released or we lose interest, whichever comes first.
