Former WWE Superstar Mandy Rose Saccomanno Speaks On Her Release From The WWE For Posting Racy Content Online

Mandy Rose, who set a WWE record for holding a Championship for 413 days, recently spoke out for the first time on the “Tamron Hall Show” about being fired for pictures she posted online.

Mandy Rose was in the WWE for seven years, and she was scheduled to defend her title against Melina Perez on January 10, 2023, but she lost a scripted match on December 13, 2022, and the next day headlines claimed she was released from the WWE for posting nude pictures on a fan subscription site, which was reportedly a violation of her contract.

After the firing, Mandy Rose received a lot of moral support online from her fans.

She began to focus more on her Fan Time subscription site, and in two and a half weeks, she made more than a million dollars.

She remained silent about her release from the WWE for 27 days before appearing on the “Tamron Hall Show.”

Mandy Rose was limited in what she could say, on the show, due to confidentiality restraints, but she did reveal that she received a script that had her 413-day reign as Champion coming to an end, and at the time, she had no idea why.

No, I didn’t know why, you know, like I said I was just told that I was going to be losing the title.

And um, you know, we were going off the momentum of a Pay-Per-View event and this is how it works.

And like I said anything can happen so was I shocked?…

Yeah, of course, I was shocked, but there was some inclination of um just kind of how it went down, how everything was… you know, what was going on.

She said she was never told by the WWE that her release was linked to photos that she posted on a fan site.

I was never told that.

Regardless of um, you know, what happens it’s… there’s obviously some confidentiality um when it comes down to it too, but no I was never told that.

I just as the professional woman that I am um when I’m told that we’re going to be losing the title that’s what I’m going to do, and I’m going to get to work so…

She said initially she just thought her losing the belt was a part of the process, and it was just time for change.

When she learned that her release was linked to alleged racy photos she said she was just showing images of her personal life that she didn’t think were racy.

Um, however, you know, when I just show photos of me sexy, like how I’ve been showing on my Instagram page, which everyone can see.

Um, you know, there’s nothing wrong with that, in bikinis, a little bit more…

Although, she said she did comply with one warning from the WWE to take down what was on her subscription fan site.

In her defense, a fan site pointed out that after Mandy Rose won the NXT Women’s Championship she posted a hot picture of herself laying out poolside only covered with her Championship belts, and the WWE reposted the same picture for promo purposes.

Mandy confirmed, during the interview, that she never posted any fully nude pictures on her subscription fan site.

No, there was no full nudity. I would never post anything that would tarnish my brand.

She said she doesn’t think she was targeted by the WWE, she just thinks everyone has their own opinion of what they deem appropriate, and she still remains forever grateful for everything the WWE has presented her with.

Because of everything that’s happened since then I honestly… everything happens for a reason.

And I can’t even say I was wronged because I am so forever grateful for everything the WWE has presented me with.

So I can’t sit here and say that I was wronged or not because the overwhelmingly…

I’m hurt 100%… Yes, I’m very hurt.

No one wants to get that call that you’re being fired from any job, right?…

So I was very hurt. I was very disappointed. I was disappointed so much more because of everything that I put into the business, but just the last year and a half I was Champion for 413 days, I unified those two titles that we just saw, I was the third longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion.

I also created this um must-see faction with two other women that I really brought up.

Um, and I got to see so many women develop their characters, and they’re all like a lot younger than me and really in the beginning of their careers.

And to me, that was so important because it was so rewarding for me, and so losing the title was obviously a gut punch, you know, it was definitely, I was so disappointed, but at the end of the day, my purpose was what was like gone and I felt that’s where I kind of felt lost, and I felt confused because of all the hard work that I put into.

And, you know, driving home from that I just, a lot of things was going through my mind, you know, you always think there’s a lot of unanswered questions and all that…

But at the end of the day, like I said I love what I’ve done in the WWA and I love that the platform, what it presented me with so I am forever grateful for them, regardless.
