Start spreading the neeeeeewsGreat Wolf is coming in Maaaay!

I am ecstatic to report Great Wolf Lodge, the ultimate family vacation destination, will be opening a brand new resort in Lagrange, Georgia next month. (Tentatively May 31, 2018.)

In addition to their incredible 457 guest suites, their insane 100,000 square foot indoor water park and their awesome 500,000 square feet of entertainment space, Great Wolf is known for the delectable dining options.

Keith Furnas, the resort’s general manager, said, “We created signature menus for each of our restaurants to ensure that all of our guests – no matter their age – will find delicious, wide-ranging meals that will appeal to even the most finicky eater.”

John Suley, Vice President of Food and Beverage for Great Wolf Resorts, added, “We are committed to sourcing our ingredients locally, meaning not only are we supporting the area purveyors and farmers, but we’re also able to offer the freshest fare in our dining facilities. Not only will the food be freshest possible, but the menu will feature fan-favorite dishes from other Great Wolf Lodge locations paired with local southern favorites.”

On Thursday night, I had the pleasure of attending Taste of Great Wolf Lodge Georgia, held at the City Winery in Atlanta.

Media, food bloggers and influencers sampled menu selections from Barnwood, Great Wolf Lodge’s on-site, sit-down restaurant.

Our menu for the evening consisted of…

Small Bites: Cheese and Charcuterie, Pretzels, Pimento Cheese, Crab Cakes and Mini-Southern Fried Chicken Biscuits.

Main Dishes: Fried Green Tomatoes, Roasted Golden Beets, Tender-Braised BBQ Short Ribs, Mushroom Risotto, Shrimp & Grits and NY Strip.

We topped off the night with Banana Pudding and S’mores Sundaes that were to die for!

Thank goodness I was wearing my elastic waist Calvin Kleins because everything was absolutely delish!
