Evan Ross Joins ‘Star’ In Recurring Role
Lee Daniels‘ hit series, “Star,” is gearing up for an even bigger and better season with the addition of new cast members and special guests.
Evan Ross has joined the cast in a key recurring role.
According to Deadline, the 28-year-old actor will play Angel, nephew to Jahil Rivera (Benjamin Bratt) and a DJ with a bad-boy streak who is heavy in the Latin music scene.
Luke James Join ‘Star’ Season 2 Cast
Luke James is still making moves on television after the success of “The New Edition Story.”
The soul singer will be bringing some…well…more drama to season 2 of “Star” playing Noah Brooks, a top-selling R&B artist at the label. He is charming and a sweet talker with ambitious streak.
All that sweet-talking leads to Noah getting caught up in a love triangle.
Mike Epps To Guest Star On ‘Star’
Remember a few weeks back I told you about the big “Empire” and “Star” crossover event?

Well, it will be even more interesting now that Mike Epps will appear as a special guest.
Deadline reports, the comedian and actor will play Jay Holland, the girls’ record label president who is willing to cross the line with one of them.
Karin Gist, the new showrunner in EP for “Star” gave the scoop on what else we can expect from season 2:
This season we’re going to tell Cotton (Amiyah Scott)’s story [of transitioning], and we’re going to continue to tell stories of how hard it is for people who’ve been incarcerated, very early on in season, and we’re going to continue to throw whatever we can at the audience to get them to think and to throw the mirror up.
I’ll be on time for it on September 27 at 8/7c! How about you?
