Chance The Rapper Tributes Muhammad Ali
Chance The Rapper closed out the 2016 ESPY Awards by paying tribute to Muhammad Ali with a moving original song.
The Chicago-native took center stage, with a boxing ring microphone in hand, and sang:
I swear…
Ain’t nowhere greater
Ain’t nowhere brighter
Ain’t nowhere better
Ain’t no one prettier
Ain’t no one wiser
Ain’t no one better
I was a rock
I was a rock and roller
Back in my day
But, now…I’m just a rock
Chance performed the beautiful gospel-infused song as images of “The Greatest of All Time” rolled on the screen behind him.
