ESPN Apologizes For Auction Sketch
ESPN has released an apology for their tone-deaf Fantasy Football sketch where they auctioned off players similar to a slave auction.
It looked like a scene out of Jordan Peele‘s film, Get Out.
In the clip that is making its rounds on social media, Odell Beckham Jr. was on the auction block.
He was literally left speechless when he saw it.

ESPN issued the following statement to USA Today Sports:
Auction drafts are a common part of fantasy football, and ESPN’s segments replicated an auction draft with a diverse slate of top professional football players.
Without that context, we understand the optics could be portrayed as offensive, and we apologize.
