“Empire” Ratings Hit Series Low
Even with guest appearances by Vivica Fox, Alicia Keys, and Rosie O’Donnell, Fox’s hit drama, “Empire” took a major ratings dip this week that hit an all-time low for the series.
Even with the lack of broadcasting competition, the looming holiday took its toll on “Empire” as the show faced its first Thanksgiving and dropped 30% from last week among adults 18-49. That’s a series low for the hip-hop drama, down 18% from the previous low of its debut of January 7 this year. Still, once again, “Empire” was light years ahead of anything else on TV and the top rated and most watched show on TV with an audience of 9.11 million.
I’m sure the Thanksgiving holiday had a huge impact on the ratings, because this week’s episode was really good.
Maybe everyone was busy cleaning their collard greens and scouring the streets for Patti pies.
