Simone Garcia Johnson 2018 Golden Globe Ambassador
The Hollywood Foreign Press has announced Dwayne Johnson‘s daughter, Simone Garcia Johnson, as their 2018 Golden Globe Ambassador.

HFPA president Meher Tatna made the announcement Wednesday evening at Catch LA in West Hollywood. The previous honorary title of Miss or Mister Golden Globe was retired.
“As we look forward to the 75th anniversary of the Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association members decided to expand this role to embody the HFPA’s philanthropic efforts year round,” said Tatna. “The honoree will now be referred to as the Golden Globe Ambassador and we could not think of a better representative than Simone to carry on this tradition, as her values closely reflect everything the HFPA stands for.”
Simone is completely elated! In a post on her Instagram page she wrote:
Fiding words to describe exactly how I feel right now is a bit hard. Thank you thank you thank you. Thank you to the HFPA, my parents, and everyone else who has helped this all come together. I feel so blessed to be a part of this incredible journey and be known as the first Golden Globe Ambassador. #Globes75 @goldenglobes
