Druglord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Recaptured
Mexican druglord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman has been recaptured after being on the run for almost six months.
The President of Mexico, Enrique Pena Nieto, took to Twitter to announce the news saying, “Mission accomplished: we have it. I want to inform the Mexican Joaquín Guzmán Loera has been arrested.”
Nieto went on to thank the Cabinet for getting the job done writing, “My appreciation to the Cabinet of security of the Government of the Republic for this important achievement for the State of law in Mexico.”

Mexican officials say they caught the drug kingpin after a shootout with Mexican marines in Los Mochis, Mexico.
Five suspects were reportedly killed in the gun battle and 6 others arrested. One marine was injured.
The shootout went down at a home, where authorities seized a number of weapons, including a rocket-propelled grenade launcher.
