It appears Lifetime is hoping to strike ratings gold again by beating an incarcerated horse.

On Wednesday the network announced a new three-part docuseries, “Surviving R. Kelly: The Reckoning.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new series, which will air over three nights beginning January 2 at 9 p.m. Eastern, will include new interviews with survivors of Kelly’s alleged abuse, as well as industry figures like Damon Dash and Matthew Knowles, and more.

R. Kelly’s ex-wife, Drea Kelly, says she is planning to sue Lifetime for using her likeness in the new trailer after she told them she would not participate in the new docuseries.

She told TMZ the network fell short of supporting the women involved in the first documentary. Now, they’re being deceptive by using her likeness in the new promo trailer.
