Drake On Shooting Death Of Alton Sterling

Drake is speaking out about the shooting death of Alton Sterling in a statement released via social media.

The 37-year-old man was shot and killed by Baton Rouge police early Tuesday morning in front of a convenience store where he was selling CDs.

The Canadian rapper, who calls the U.S. his “second home,” said Sterling’s death left him “feeling disheartened, emotional, and truly scared.”

Drake said he believes things can change for the better and “open and honest dialogue is the first step.”
