Donnie McClurkin responds to “Empire” shade.

No holds were barred on the season 2 premiere of “Empire” on Wednesday night. There was high drama, murder, and plenty of shade.

Pastor and gospel singer Donnie McClurkin, who has been very vocal about being delivered from the “curse” of homosexuality, was Lee Daniels‘ target during the season 2 premiere watched by 16 million viewers.

In the shady scene, guest star Miss Lawrence, was trying to convince Jamal Lyon to attend an LGBT event by telling him Donnie McClurkin would be there. Then, Becky added, “Donnie McClurkin? Ooooh, I love him. We fall down, but we get up!”

 

 

Of course, it didn’t take long before Donnie became aware of the shot fired at him.

Taking to his social media account, the “Stand” singer took the high road and kept it classy in his response.
