Cameron Tucker made his first court appearance Wednesday morning after spending the night in the Fulton County jail. Tucker was arrested Tuesday after police determined the dogs belonged to him. He was initially charged with two counts of reckless conduct, but an involuntary manslaughter charge was added prior to his court appearance.
Logan Braatz, 6, and Syari Sanders, 5, were walking to their bus stop on Gideons Drive in southwest Atlanta when they were attacked by two dogs. Logan died from his injuries, and Syari underwent emergency surgery. She remained at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston on Wednesday.
One of the dogs involved in the attack was a pit bull mix and the other was a border collie, according to Fulton County Animal Control.
