DMX on The Breakfast Club

DMX On “The Breakfast Club”

DMX had me crying thug tears during his interview with “The Breakfast Club” on Tuesday.

The legendary (and troubled) rapper opened up about his near-death experience in February and how it’s brought him even closer to God.

DMX became emotional as he said:

It showed me that – you know what? By the time you realize that you’re in a f**ked up situation…it’s too late to come back from it! It’s too late to come back from it!!!

Not that I didn’t appreciate life or the blessing God gave me, but I didn’t always do what I was supposed to do with it.

That’s when you need him more! That’s when you need God more!

People are like, ‘Yo, you high!’ Yeah, that’s when I need God more!

Some people look at is as being hypocritical or a contradiction. No! Under the influence or whatever…that’s when you need God more than ever!!

Why not talk to him then? God knows my heart!

He knows at a certain time that’s when I need him. He was there. He has always been there!

I didn’t always know when I needed him. We all know what God is capable of doing. We know what God is able to do. But, we don’t know what he’s willing to do until we’re in a situation when we need him to do it.

He added, “I’m sure there have been plenty of times when God did something small to save my life.”
