DJ Envy says BET was told him he wasn’t “black enough” for their network.

The popular DJ and co-host of the wildly popular morning show, “The Breakfast Club,” shared about five years ago, he attempted to shop his family’s show to the Black Entertainment Network and they turned him down because he didn’t have the melanin for the masses.

Imagine not being “black enough” for the Black Entertainment Network…

Well, the good news is Envy is black enough to Starz, and he’s partnered with 50 Cent for a new show about real estate and purchasing investment properties.
