Behind The Brand Brunch
On Saturday, July 30th,2016,The Luxe PR Group in partnership with PYNK Magazine hosted their exclusive Behind the Brand Brunch Series in Dallas, Texas benefiting the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Actress/Singer Demetria McKinney (RHOA Season 7, House Of Payne) and TV Personality Claudia Jordan (RHOA Season 7, The Next 15) were there to lend their support and knowledge of building a brand. The event was held at the unique Lofty Spaces on Montgomery Street.
This event was coordinated by Anje Collins, Founder of The Luxe PR Group and two-time ovarian cancer survivor.
During the brunch introduction, Anje shared candidly with attendees about her passion for bringing awareness and educating individuals about the disease. The event raised over $2,000.
Located in New York, NY, The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund was founded as a 501 (3) (c) not-for-profit in 1994 in support of researching and discovering a cure for the illness. A portion of the brunch profits went to support the organization.
The Brunch Series included a solid panel of female African American entrepreneurs providing insight on business branding, and honest personal stories on leveraging and navigating the business world as entrepreneurs. An open dialogue was encouraged amongst panelist and attendees while celebrating the spirit of female entrepreneurship. Guest in attendance also received complimentary gift bags by Curls and Cynthia Bailey Eye Wear. The event also included a shopping experience from African American female entrepreneurs.
The panelist included: Claudia Jordan (The Claudia Jordan Collection), Demetria McKinney (DMK Collection), Ronne Brown (Founder -High Heels High Goals), Maisha Dellinger (CEO- Curls), Tiffany Williams (CEO- Eye Candy Creations/Cynthia Bailey Eyewear), Arnita Johnson-Hall (CEO- Luxurious Credit), Raeyvn Jones (Founder- Fire Your Boss Academy), Nicole Harding (CEO- Celfie Cosmetics), Mecca Moore (PYNK Magazine), Davina Douthard (Mass Appeal Magazine), and Tiffany Walker (CEO/Designer- Pink Lucy).
